Robin Farinholt was born in Baltimore, MD and has lived in the surrounding area all her life. She has two adult daughters and three grandchildren. Robin is an educator and an advocate for persons who have learning differences. She is a lifelong learner and loves to read, take classes, attend webinars and conferences.
Robin graduated from Westminster High School, then Towson University with a teaching degree in physical education. She has coached many sports on the recreation and high school levels. After three years of teaching physical education, Robin followed her passion for helping those who have learning challenges and earned a Masters of Science degree in special education from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College). Later, she earned a second Masters of Education degree from Western Maryland College and was the principal of the school at which she had taught.
Robin is now retired from Carroll County Public Schools. She spends her retirement advocating for individuals who have special needs, spending time with her family, gardening, She was previously a member of the Center for Conscious Living in Eldersburg and the Center for Spiritual Living Greater Baltimore where she served on many committees and was president of the board of trustees. She is now a member of the Columbia Board of Trustees serving her spiritual community, the Columbia Center for Spiritual Living.
